The Ampara facility is connected to Sri Lanka’s national grid by Panasian Power
Panasian Power recently announced the successful connection of its 5MW ground-mounted solar project located in Deegawapiya, Ampara, to the Ampara Grid Substation. This development is significant as it marks the commencement of revenue generation for the project and contributes an additional 5MWac/6.76MWp to Sri Lanka’s national grid. It is noteworthy that this solar project is part of a broader initiative which includes seven projects that Panasian Power has entered into power purchase agreements with the Ceylon Electricity Board, furthering the country’s clean energy efforts. The project employs advanced solar technology, including Longi Bi-facial, N-type Solar PV 615 W modules with Fixed Tilt technology, which optimizes energy harnessing and assures a favorable AC/DC design ratio.
