Japan will provide Sri Lanka with 963 million yen to enhance navy surveillance and the dairy industry

Japan’s announcement of a 963-million-yen grant to support two significant projects in Sri Lanka, as stated by Minister Nalinda Jayatissa. The allocation encompasses funding aimed at enhancing the dairy industry and bolstering the security capabilities of the Sri Lankan Navy. Specifically, 463 million yen will be dedicated to improving the productivity of the dairy sector, while the remaining 500 million yen will be used to acquire drones for Navy operations. President Anura Dissanayake is expected to formalize the agreement during his upcoming visit to Japan.
