After shareholders reduce their shareholding, E.B. Creasy’s public float rises to 26.4%

Following Colombo Fort Land & Building PLC’s share sales, E.B. Creasy & Co. PLC reported in a stock exchange filing yesterday that its public ownership had grown to 26.43%. Colombo Fort Land sold off 5 million shares on August 6 and another 1.5 million shares on August 27, according to the filing. As a result, as of the record date of August 29, the company’s public float increased from 23.86% as stated in its interim financial statements dated June 30 to 26.43%. The increase raises the company’s stock liquidity and puts it above the minimum public float barrier set under CSE listing regulations.
