Ampara’s Indian-funded Mahatma Gandhi Model Village opens

The inauguration of the Mahatma Gandhi Model Village in Ampara, Sri Lanka, which occurred on October 29, 2023. This project is part of a broader initiative funded by the Government of India to provide housing for low-income families across Sri Lanka. The event was attended by high-ranking officials from both India and Sri Lanka, including the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, and local ministers.
