Sampath Bank Partners with Bancstac to Launch Alipay+ Payment Acceptance for Merchants

Sampath Bank PLC has announced a strategic partnership with global payments technology provider Bancstac to launch Alipay+ payment acceptance across both in-store and e-commerce merchant channels in Sri Lanka.

This initiative builds on the Bank’s earlier collaboration with Ant International, which enabled Alipay acceptance at offline merchants. With the introduction of Alipay+, Sampath Bank now facilitates payments not only from consumers in China but also from partner wallets in Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Pakistan, the European Union, and beyond.

The Alipay+ ecosystem integrates more than 25 global payment partners, offering businesses seamless access to over 1.5 billion accounts worldwide.
